The hotel is overall clean, with relaxing atmosphere and quiet location short walk to Inoda Coffee, the bays outside and a Japanese style botanical garden. Large and very well decorated rooms with central heating, a personal safe and a fridge, exceptionally comfortable beds. Excellent service, very amiable staff during stay. A huge variety of food at the delicious and amazing breakfast.

The staff at this traditional ryokan were absolutely incredible! They made us feel so welcome and even brought us dessert in the evening, which was such a lovely touch. The breakfasts were also amazing, with a variety of delicious traditional dishes to try. Another great aspect was the location. It was conveniently located near both the bustling downtown area and a beautiful shrine, making it easy to explore the city.
There weren't many electrical sockets in the room for charging phones and other devices, but considering it was an old house, it was understandable.

Yadoya Manjiro Kyoto was an absolute gem of a find! The traditional experience here was truly magical. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the beautiful gardens to the spacious yet cozy rooms. The location couldn't be more perfect, situated just minutes away from both the bustling downtown area and the famous Kiyomizo-Dera shrine. The service at this hotel was top-notch, with the hosts going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. One highlight was the delicious traditional breakfast, served in a beautifully authentic setting. I also loved the fact that the hotel provided pajamas and socks each night for a cozy night's sleep. this hotel exceeded all our expectations and I can't recommend it enough.
Absolutely nothing to fault with this hotel. Everything was perfect!

During my New Year stay, the staff at this traditional Japanese inn went out of their way to provide a warm welcome and help us feel at home. The location was perfect, being in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood that exuded traditional Japan ambiance. The breakfast was exceptional with a variety of dishes to choose from. The hot bath was an added bonus that made our stay enjoyable.
Our room was not as we expected in terms of size, as it was really small. The staff were not that friendly and didn't really interact with us and didn't provide any exceptional service.

The breakfast was great, they offered complementary yakult and an amazing view from the rooftop. the hotel was located near many shops and restaurants, making it easy to find places to eat. the room was quite spacious and comfortable. And, the staff was very helpful and friendly.
Our Christmas stay was marred by the lack of cleanliness in the room. the sheets seemed dirty and old, and the bathroom was not cleaned properly.

During my stay at Yadoya Manjiro, the owners went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. They let me try on kimonos for free and surprised me with fruit dessert every night. The house itself was beautiful, quiet, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and I highly recommend this place. I had an unforgettable experience and I would definitely recommend staying at this lovely ryokan in Kyoto.

We stayed at Yadoya Manjiro for a few nights during our trip to Kyoto. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. The older owner personally helped us with our bags and showed us to our beautiful room with a garden view. The breakfast was delicious and the service top-notch. The rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated with attention to detail. The friendly couple who run the ryokan went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable, even dressing us up in beautiful kimono for a photoshoot. We can't wait to come back!
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.
